Executive Chef Gabi Marin
Gabi Marin began his culinary journey in Romania, where he completed his apprenticeship and worked at JW Marriott in Bucharest. In 2005, he moved to the United States, gaining experience in various kitchens and working alongside several talented chefs. In 2012, he relocated to Canada and has been with Fantasyland Hotel since 2014.
From a young age, Gabi was inspired to become a true craftsman of the culinary arts. During his apprenticeship in Romania, he was mentored by exceptional chefs who became role models, guiding him and inspiring him to become the professional he is today.
Gabi's cooking style is defined by bold flavors, simplicity, and creativity. He particularly enjoys making fresh pasta from scratch and experimenting with various cooking techniques to achieve unique textures.
Over the years, he has participated in several culinary competitions and has had the honor of serving as a judge for the Alberta Provincial Skills Competition. In 2018, Gabi earned his Certified Chef de Cuisine (CCC) designation, a prestigious credential in the culinary field that signifies excellence and mastery in the industry.
