Katleya Medrano began her culinary journey at NAIT, where she completed her training and earned her Red Seal certification in 2017. In 2008, she had the privilege of interning at The Omni Homestead Resort in Virginia, a renowned property that has hosted many celebrities and dignitaries, which helped shape her career.

Cooking has always been a lifelong passion for Katleya, rooted in tradition and a deep appreciation for the role food plays in bringing people together. Growing up, food was the heart of her home, and that foundation has fueled her love for the culinary arts.

Her cooking philosophy is influenced by her travels. Katleya loves blending modern techniques with the rich traditions she's encountered along the way. To her, food should not only be flavorful but also visually stunning. She strives to craft dishes that offer exciting textures and unforgettable flavors, aiming to create a dining experience that captivates the senses and leaves a lasting impression on guests.
